Hope and Trust in the Face of Unanswered Questions

Recently, on the Christian Universalist Association page on Facebook, a guy named Corey Gray started a new thread, where he said this:

Certainly thought-provoking.

There were a number of responses, coming at this from different angles, and, as per my usual, I threw in my long-winded two cents, and strangely enough I ended up having the last word, since the thread had run out of steam at that point. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyways, here was what I shared:

Let me know what you think, and perhaps we could have our own discussion here of what Corey brought up.

Blessings to you all :slight_smile:

Any thoughts? :slight_smile:

I thought it was a good reply; just busy elsewhere. :slight_smile:

Beautiful, :slight_smile:

Reminds me of this old hymn ā€¦

"When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul."

**Whatever comes my way Lord, I trust you, and it is well with my soul. **

No problem bro, I know youā€™re a busy guy :slight_smile:

@Misszoolander

Thanks :slight_smile:

And thatā€™s one of my favorite hymns, by the way :wink:
